Check-In & Check Out Times

  • Check-in is from 14H00 – 21H00.
  • Check-out is strictly by 10H00 on departure date.
  • Late check-ins or check outs may incur additional charges unless arranged in advance.

Cancellation Policy

Should a reservation be confirmed by means of full payment or payment of a deposit be cancelled, then the following cancellation fee will apply:

 

    • More than 30 days prior to arrival guests shall forfeit 20% of payment or deposit amount paid.
    • 15 – 30 days prior to arrival guests shall forfeit 30% of payment or deposit amount paid.
    • 8 – 14 days prior to arrival guests shall forfeit 50% of the payment or deposit amount paid.
    • 2 – 7 days prior to arrival guests shall forfeit 100% of the payment or deposit amount paid.
    • Cancellations made 1 day prior to arrival, same day, no shows or early departures shall be liable for 100% of the total booking amount.

In the event that a booking for corporate clients be confirmed by way of a voucher, the issuing of an invoice, a signed Booking Form, telephonic or email confirmation be cancelled, then the following cancellation fees will apply:

 

  •  Cancellations made by guests 1 working day prior to arrival, excluding weekends, same day, no shows or early departures shall be liable for 100% of the total booking amount.
  • Group bookings cancelled 5 days prior to arrival will be liable for 100% of the booking amount.

Tour Operators

  • Tour Operators are required to settle the full invoice amount no less than14 days prior to the date of arrival of their guest/s.
  • Should a Tour Operator cancel the booking then the cancellation policy as stated above applies. 

Holiday, Peak Periods or Events

 

All bookings made over Holiday, Peak Periods or for Events will be required to make payments as follows:

 

  •  Payment of a 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking.
  • In the event that a booking is cancelled after the payment of a deposit, then the cancellation policy as stated above applies.
  • The full balance of the booking must be received no less than 14 days prior to arrival date.
  • In the event that 100% of the booking amount is not received 14 days prior to arrival, then the booking shall automatically expire and cancelled.
  • Should the booking be cancelled after receipt of the full booking amount, then a 100% cancellation fee shall apply and no refund will be made.

Refunds

  • All refunds shall be subject to a 10% handling fee of the total booking amount in order to cover administration costs and bank charges.

Credits

  • Any customer credits shall automatically be forfeited after a period of 12 months from the date upon which the deposit was received. 

Terms & Conditions

        Alcohol Consumption

  • Mountain Dew Guest House in NOT a party destination and all guests are guests are obliged to be considerate of other guests who wish to enjoy themselves in a peaceful and relaxing setting.
  • No excessive consumption of alcohol is permitted on the premises and reserve the right to ask any guest engaging in excessive alcohol consumption to vacate the premises, without any refund, due to non-adherence or causing any disturbance to other guests.
  •  

        Offensive Behavior

  • Offensive, abusive, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Any guest who fails to adhere to the House Rules shall be asked to immediately vacate the premises, without any refund.

       Child Policy

  • Children of all ages are most welcome. Parents are however expected to ensure that they are under their direct control and supervision at all times and do not cause cause discomfort to any other guests in terms of noise levels.

        Smoking Policy

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the suites.
  • It is not only a legal obligation that smoking inside suites are not permitted  but in consideration of other guests health as well as for safety purposes for all our guests.
  • All suites have patio’s / veranda’s where smoking is permistted. 
  • A transgression penalty of R1000 will be charged to any guest found smoking or if any evidence of smoking (e.g., smell, ashes, or cigarette butts) is found in the suites.

       Quite Hour Policy

  • All guests are asked to respect quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
  • All quests must respect the peace and privacy of others on the property at all times.

        Breakage, Damage, and Missing Items

  • Any damage caused by a guest or items missing from the rooms will be for the guest’s account.
  • The cost of repairs, replacements, or missing items must be settled upon check-out or when discovered by the housekeeping department.
  • Unreported damages or missing items discovered after check-out will be billed to the credit card on file or via other payment methods.

       Mattress, Bedding, and Linen Care

  • Damage to mattresses, bedding, or linen (including towels, mattress pads, sheets, bedspreads, and blankets) resulting from the use of makeup, body oils, shoe polish, or similar substances will incur a charge for special cleaning, repair, or replacement of the damaged articles.

       Cleanliness

  • Rooms must be left in a reasonable state of cleanliness. 
  • An additional cleaning fee will be charged if rooms are found in an excessively dirty condition upon departure. This includes, but is not limited to, un-bagged trash, spills, stains, or any condition that requires extensive cleaning.
